Pair of Willy Guhl–Style Triangular Garden Planters with Distressed Blue Paint

A pair of Willy Guhl-style triangular garden planters featuring a sculptural geometric form and distressed blue painted finish. These architectural outdoor planters bring a strong mid-century modern presence to a garden, patio, terrace, or courtyard.

Pair of large triangular garden planters attributed to Willy Guhl, featuring broad planting basins, gently tapered walls and softly rounded corners. Their low, expansive proportions give the geometric forms a strong architectural presence, while the continuous raised rims define each triangular outline.

The painted surfaces retain layers of pale blue and turquoise over salmon-red and orange tones, with extensive wear exposing the gray cement body. These irregular areas of color and weathering distinguish the two planters while maintaining a cohesive appearance as a pair.

The molded fiber cement construction and restrained geometry reflect the modernist garden-design tradition associated with Guhl. At 37.5 inches wide, the planters offer substantial planting space without a tall profile. Drainage holes are present in the bases.

Each measures approximately 13 inches high, 37.5 inches wide and 33 inches deep.
