A sculptural wooden lidded box in the Postmodern taste, pairing bold geometry with an expressive ochre-and-black mottled finish. Its rectangular body and overhanging flat lid are crowned by a copper disc held within a black-painted iron ring, creating a striking interplay of warm tones, dark metal and open space.

Standing 20 inches tall, the piece makes a distinctive focal point on a console, sideboard or display shelf. The contrasting materials and architectural silhouette lend it the presence of a small sculpture, with the added function of concealed storage.
