Vintage Faux Bois Log Planter Jardiniere – Rustic Cast Concrete Tree Trunk Garden Planter with Bark Texture

This charming vintage faux bois planter is designed to resemble a naturally cut tree trunk, capturing the rustic beauty of woodland textures in a durable cast concrete form. The elongated log shape features carefully molded bark striations, knot details, and subtle irregularities that convincingly mimic the appearance of real wood. Faux bois—French for “false wood”—has long been admired in garden design for its ability to bring natural organic forms into durable architectural materials, and this planter is a wonderful example of that tradition.

The planter has an oval top opening with multiple drainage holes in the base, making it well suited for planting succulents, herbs, small flowers, or trailing greenery. Its low horizontal profile also makes it ideal as a centerpiece for patio tables, garden walls, balconies, or windowsills. The integrated feet lift the planter slightly off the surface, improving drainage and giving the piece a sculptural presence. The natural beige stone coloration combined with subtle weathering gives the planter a beautifully aged patina that enhances its rustic character.

The bark texture wraps around the entire body, with raised knots and naturalistic ridges that add depth and visual interest from every angle. Because of its neutral earth tones and organic styling, it pairs well with a wide variety of décor styles including rustic garden, cottage, farmhouse, French country, woodland, and organic modern spaces. Measuring approximately 13 inches long and about 7 inches tall, this substantial planter is both decorative and functional. Whether displayed indoors with houseplants or outdoors as part of a garden arrangement, it brings a warm, nature-inspired element to any setting. Its sculptural log design makes it a unique alternative to traditional planters and a standout piece for plant lovers and garden décor collectors alike.
