Handbuilt Textured Ceramic Tree Bark Vase with Ruffled Flower Rim

Handcrafted studio pottery vase with a slender, organic body and an expressive, outward-flaring rim. The elongated form recalls a weathered tree trunk, with vertical grooves, shallow ridges and irregular contours extending from the textured base to the opening.

The rim unfolds into asymmetrical, petal-like sections with curled edges and fine, fabric-like surface impressions. These broad projections contrast with the narrow body, giving the vase a distinctive botanical silhouette.

A warm cream glaze covers the exterior, accented by ochre tones and dark brown to charcoal markings. Darker color gathers within the grooves and around the base, emphasizing the modeled surface and its bark-like texture. Variations in sheen add depth to the neutral palette.
