Set of 2 Italian Terracotta Planters by Silvestri

This striking set of two Silvestri terracotta planters exemplifies timeless classical garden design combined with traditional handcrafted artistry. Each planter is formed from solid terracotta clay and features deeply molded relief decoration, highlighted by expressive classical mask motifs framed within scrolling architectural bands. The sculptural detailing is enhanced by a naturally aged blue-green patina that has settled into the recesses over time, creating rich contrast against the warm, earthy terracotta body.

The rims are finished with repeating arched border patterns, and the interior of each planter bears the impressed Silvestri maker’s mark, confirming authenticity and brand quality. These planters are substantial decorative pieces, well suited for anchoring formal garden layouts, flanking entryways, lining patios, or serving as statement vessels indoors or out.

Condition reflects age and use consistent with decorative garden ware. One planter shows a visible interior crack and minor rim chips, along with surface wear and patina variation. These characteristics contribute to the rustic, old-world character rather than detract from the overall visual appeal.
